Advising Awards

The role of an advisor is vital to fostering student success. We annually recognize advisors for their work and dedication to our students and their commitment to UIC’s mission. And we annually support advisors in their professional development endeavors as an essential part of furthering the work of these most valued front line professionals.

Provost’s Excellence in Undergraduate Advising Award

UIC is proud to have a program supported by the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and Provost to recognize professional advisors who have demonstrated exemplary skill in academic advising and a commitment to student success at the University of Illinois at Chicago. The advising awards are administered by the OAD Advising Awards Committee.

Nominations for the yearly award program open in the late fall and award winners are selected during the spring term. There are up to three winners selected from the professional advising corps and those winners receive a $750 one-time gift.

Advisors are integral to the success of our students and their work and commitment to UIC’s mission is recognized through these awards.

For more information on the nomination process, view the 2020 Advising Awards Nomination Call.
