***What are PAVE the Way Workshops?***
PAVE the Way Workshops are one-hour opportunities, twice a month focused on topics, workflows, or best practices relevant to the advising community. Workshops will offer time for advisors to ask questions, share perspectives, and dive deeper together….

***Call for Topics YOU Want***
We’re excited about this workshop series and after kicking off with our first two sessions, we’ve heard from advisors about your desire to assist the PAVE Planning Group in picking the topics covered, and we think this is a great idea! We want our advisors and coaches to help pick topics for PAVE the Ways…..what topics would YOU like to experience to gain a better understanding from your colleagues on campus? The OAD Steering Committee Small Groups Subcommittee organizes brown bag lunches and coffee hours for advisors throughout the academic year. Within both the physical and virtual space, this group of advisors who are dedicated to creating opportunities for interaction and small group work are looking to host events that engender learning and growing together.

This webinar will provide an overview of how our office supports students in areas such as community standards, student assistance, and the different services the Office of the Dean of Students has. We will also share how academic advisors and other campus partners can collaborate with our office to ensure students have access to the right support at the right time. Whether you are looking to connect a student to resources, better understand conduct processes, or learn about early intervention strategies, this session will give you the tools and knowledge to enhance student success.

OAD Fall Coffee Talk - Refresher on the UIC Academic Grievance Process

OAD and Dr. Eric Pegues presented on UIC’s Academic Grievance policy and procedure. Attendees will learn about and/or sharpen your knowledge as we head into the final weeks of the semester and the upcoming grading period.
