2022 – 2023 Advising Summits
For Fall 2022, the Advising Summit was held virtually on Friday, October 7th. Our agenda included presentations from Matt Walsh on supporting pregnant students and other work related to Title IX, a presentation on activities spearheaded for hunger and homelessness for Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week on November 1st through 4th, and an update om financial aid. The OAD team presented an update on iAdvise to discuss topics for a six session virtual workshop series of "Deeper Dives on iAdvise". The interactive discussion resulted in suggestions for three of the sessions.

For Spring 2023, the Advising Summit will be held hybrid both virtually and on-site during on February 15th...the agenda includes: UIC’s Commitment to Well-being (Carol Petersen), Campus Advocacy Network (Kelly Maginot), Transfer Champions (Patricia Francey), Supporting Career Conversations in Academic Advising (Theresa Christenson, Elizabeth Herrera, Viviana Kabbabe-Thompson, Jean Riordan, Laura Roman)
