Please download the flyer and share with your students:

The UIC Day of Service is UIC's largest service event and takes place annually during the month of April. With partners from multiple sites and community organizations across Chicagoland, the day brings together the entire UIC community to give back to Chicago.

April 17th, 2021
9:30 am - 1:00 pm
Various outdoor locations as well as virtual options

This year we will be offering both safe and socially distanced in-person opportunities, as well as engaging virtual opportunities, with our call to action centering around COVID-19 and Environmental Justice. Read more here (https://e360.yale.edu/features/connecting-the-dots-between-environmental-injustice-and-the-coronavirus) about the intersection of and connecting the dots between Environmental Justice and COVID-19.

Click here to register for a UIC Day of Service project: https://go.uic.edu/uicdos. Please read through the different service opportunities with our community partners, and register for the one you would like to serve alongside on April 17th, 2020. This event will last from 9:30 am - 1 pm.

Students, staff, faculty, alumni, and their families are encouraged to sign up as teams if they are looking for ways to gather safely in-person while also giving back. This could be a fun bonding experience for student organizations, a staff group, for friends and family, and more - especially after a year of so few opportunities to participant in in-person events.

Reach out to slce@uic.edu with any and all questions.

All volunteers who choose to participate in-person will be required to wear a mask on-site at all times, and are strongly encouraged to layer masks, based on current CDC guidelines.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students, community members, and partners safe!
