SHARE WITH STUDENTS: Spring 2020 course on Gender, Family, and Politics (INST 301)!
The International Studies Program is happy to announce its Spring 2020 Seminar in International Studies (INST 301) - "Nation, Gender, and the Body: The Politics of Family and Sexuality"
This class will analyze the ways in which bodies and sexualities are controlled and regulated by state and non-state agents to form a modern nation. Through an examination of sexuality, reproduction, family, and gendered agency we will look into the complex relationships between gender, body, and the self in modern nation states including but not limited to Turkey, Egypt, India, China, and Brazil.
This course will meet on Mondays from 3-5:30.
