Research Opportunity for Incoming First-Year & Transfer Students with ADD or ADHD!

Are you a first-year or transfer student at UIC? We are seeking new students with ADD or ADHD and their families at UIC to test a summer
college readiness program.

Students will complete four in person, phone, or Zoom visits where they will complete questionnaires and assessments throughout their first
semester of college. Some sensitive information will also be collected (e.g., substance use, and medications) and kept completely confidential.

Students will also be randomly assigned to receive either a list of UIC resources OR be enrolled in a summer college readiness program (1 goal
setting session, 8 group sessions, 1 follow-up) With student permission, parents will be invited to complete 4 assessments throughout their child’s first year at UIC.

Students can make up to $100 for completing study visits
Parents can make up to $60 for completing study visits
Parent/caretaker must participate with the student in order to be eligible
