SHARE WITH STUDENTS/PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: My UIC Language Story: share your story of understanding/learning/speaking a language
Dear all,
To celebrate the wonderful linguistic and cultural diversity of UIC's staff, students, faculty, and alumni, the Language and Culture Learning Center is starting a new project:
My Language Story: UIC = languageS. We'll be showcasing your stories about language on a new part of our webpage: lclc.uic.edu
Over the course of the next year, we're asking you to share your language story--about the language(s) you understand and speak and how they tie you to the past, present and future at UIC and at home.
Share your story...
--as a native speaker of something other than English (bilingual, multilingual)
--as a language learner at UIC or elsewhere (any language, including English, anywhere, including Study Abroad)
--as the child/family member of a multilingual family
--what language(s) do you use at work? at home? when volunteering? with your kids/parents?
--any story about your experiences with language speaking or learning that you want to share
Here's the link to share your own language story:
PLEASE FORWARD THE LINK TO ANYONE IN THE UIC COMMUNITY, INCLUDING ALUMS!
Any questions? Contact us at lclc@uic.edu or contact me directly: edweber@uic.edu
Best,
