With October comes Career Fair season!
THREE upcoming opportunities for students to interact with employers seeking full time and internship candidates, as well as another event to support major choice. Marketing pieces for all events are downloadable and details are below. Please share with your students!
While you've heard about it from the Major/Minor Fair Planning Team and our friends at OAD, Career Services is collaborating with the Office of Advising Development to offer the 2nd annual UIC Major/Minor Fair, on Tuesday, October 3, from 11-1 in SCE Illinois Room. Representatives from all UIC academic departments will be on hand to share information about their programs for students who are both not sure about their current choice or looking to pick up a minor. Career staff from around campus will also be on hand to offer resources and support.
Additionally next week, we will be hosting the 46th Annual Diversity Career Fair on both Wednesday, October 4 and Thursday, October 5 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in SCE Illinois and Ft. Dearborn rooms. Nearly 200 employers will be on hand over the 2 days to meet with students. Please encourage your students to stop by, even if they are not currently job seeking, to get a sense of the multitude of opportunities available to them to gain experience. Thursday, October 12, 2023, 1 P.M. to 6 P.M. CST we will also be co-hosting the nationwide Virtual HSI Career Expo, as part of the Hispanic Serving Institution Career Collective. UIC is a founding member of this collective, encouraging employers to access the amazing student talent found at our 14 partner schools. 276 employers are scheduled to participate in this event.
