What is Food Science?
The Minor in Food Science curriculum prepares graduates for entry level careers such as food chemist, food analyst, food product developer, or food safety personnel. As Chicago has long been a leader in the food industry, there are many job positions found in food manufacturing companies, the USDA and FDA labs, or chain restaurants or grocery stores, which serve ready to eat or processed food.
LinkedIn shows food science positions with companies such as Mars, Conagra, Ferrara Candy, Mizkan America, Griffith Foods, United Airlines, among many others.
