LARES: Pathways to Health Professions Seminar
LARES Pathways to Health Professions seminar on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 4:30-6:30 pm at the UIC College of Pharmacy. Student should RSVP by Monday, October 7, 2019.
This event is geared for students considering a pre-health career to better prepare them with their academic and career goals. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we will also be hosting a guest speaker, Juana Ballesteros, a UIC Nursing alumnus who also received her MPH from UIC’s Public Health Program, and whom we are honored to have speak to our students about her experience in the pre-health field and how to network.
Download the updated flyer with an extension deadline to RSVP in hopes that you will share with your students. Please note that all UIC students should be highly encouraged to RSVP by October 7th via the link on the flyer. Additionally, the first 50 students to arrive to the event and whom have RSVP via the link, will get their names put twice into a raffle to win a book voucher. The event is also on the LARES website (lares.uic.edu) and LARES social media outlets.
LARES Destino Award
This scholarship is open to sophomores and juniors who demonstrate leadership abilities, co-curricular involvement, and a commitment to contributing to the Latinx community. Deadline is Monday, October 28th. Download the flyer for your students.
