Subject Tutors: A subject tutor is responsible for breaking down concepts of a particular course to a student-athlete. The tutor must be able to explain the course material in an easy-to-understand manner and in a variety of ways to help the student understand the concepts. The tutor is not required to have taken the course specifically, but the tutor must be knowledgeable on the subject matter. Subject tutors typically meet for weekly, recurring sessions so a consistent schedule is preferable. Tutors can tutor as many subjects as they feel comfortable tutoring if they have shown expertise in the material. Currently, all tutoring is taking place virtually via Blackboard Collaborate and Zoom.
