SHARE WITH STUDENTS: ACE seeking Peer Success Coaches – positions available!

The Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) is looking to hire approximately 20 undergraduate students for the Peer Success Coaching Program this academic year. With this goal in mind, ACE is counting on the support of UIC faculty and staff in identifying and referring good candidates. If you know of students who may be interested in this work and who would like to help support the incoming first-year cohort, please contact Liz Houlihan. Interviews are currently being held and will continue until all positions are filled.

Information about the position is as follows:

  • Hourly rate is $13.00/$14.00 per hour
  • Students should expect to work during the fall & spring term and work up to 10 hours per week (average is about 5-7 hours)
  • Students will receive ongoing professional development and must be available Fridays from 3-5 pm
  • Students who join the team will be mentored and supported by an ACE Coach and graduate assistant
  • To qualify, students must be in good academic standing, have a minimum GPA of 2.75, and be a sophomore or above
  • A minimum of one reference letter is required
