PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Webinar on Combating Discrimination and Xenophobia in the Face of COVID-19
Combating Discrimination and Xenophobia in the Face of COVID-19
Date: Thursday, April 16th
Time: 12:00PM - 1:00PM
Location: On Zoom
In the midst of COVID-19 we would like to create a space for UIC students, faculty and staff who are experiencing heightened social stigma, discrimination, or prejudice. We would also like to invite those who may not be subject to such discrimination but would like to provide support and advocacy. Together, we will construct a space to process experiences and share resources.
Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 15th by 5pm (Must use a valid UIC email address when registering.)
Interested UIC students, faculty, and staff can email Dia Mason at dama233@uic.edu. A unique Zoom link to the webinar will be emailed the morning of the event. To provide a safe experience, access will not be granted to non-UIC emails and inappropriate behavior during this webinar will not be tolerated.
Hosted by the UIC Counseling Center, UIC Asian American Resource and Cultural Center. CART live captioning will be provided.
