PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: iAdvise News and Tips – Second Major and Status of Registration for Next Term now available in Student Profile Overview!

There are two new updates to the Student Profile "Overview" - second major is now displaying for students with two majors AND registration status for next term has been updated!
The iAdvise Team has been working to review and update the information contained in the "Overview" as part of our regular reviews and updating of information going into iAdvise. Here's two of our newest updates that you will see if you have the "Overview" in the Student Profile available to you:
Second Major - IF a student has a second major listed in Banner that is active, then you will see an item just under "Major" called "Second Major" where the student's second major will display. These data are in the order listed in Banner. If a student only has one active major, then only "Major" will display. The Info Tab is not able to show two majors individually normally, so please be aware that will always be the student's first major showing there if you only see one major. This item can be filtered and we do suggest that if you for some reason are seeking to get a list of students in a particular major, you run two separate filters and download your lists to get a full list. You can select "Major" for students declaring the major you are interested in seeing and then run a new filter using "Second Major" and you can combine the lists in Excel outside iAdvise for do a reapeat of the action you're taking in iAdvise such as notes or messages, referrals, tracking items, etc. The iAdvise Team is happy to help you with any questions about this new item in Open Hours or by appointment.
Still Needs to Register for the Next Term - This item is an indicator of whether a student still needs to register for the next term and is a modification of what used to be "Registered for Next Term" because this item can now be specifically used in Stop Out campaigns or to find your students who may still need to register. This item displays for students who have a time ticket for the following term (in this case for Spring 2022) and who may not be registered for the term. When a student has a time ticket but hasn't yet registered for the following term, the item will display as "YES". The item will ONLY display for students with time tickets for the following term and who have not already registered. You may filter in the "Attributes" area for "Assigned to Student" or using Specific Value "Yes" to get a list of your students still not registered for Spring 2022.
