The OAD Advisor Week Planning Team is excited to about our plans for this year’s Seventh Annual UIC Advisor Week during spring break (March 25th – 29th)!
Don’t miss the 14+ events we’re planning for you! Here’s some highlights of some of our events and activities:

Advisor Conference – watch for the call for proposals for this set of advisor-to-advisor presentation sessions!
Poster without the Poster – now the kickoff event of Advisor Conference, start thinking about what you would like to present at this discussion table event – it’s essentially a conference poster session…without the posters!
UIC Hits it Out of the Park Baseball Game and Networking Event – yes, the men’s baseball team has a game and this will be our kickoff networking event! We’re so excited about this fun time at Curtis Granderson Stadium!
Pottery Painting with Creativita – an annual favorite, we’ll be doing pottery painting again!
West Side Amazing Race – we’re bringing back this fun event that provides a really exciting and interesting way to learn about our west campus. Many thanks to our west side colleges for all of their efforts here!
Student Success Research Lecture with an Advising Workshop – we’re looking forward to bringing you a Student Success Research Lecture as the first part of a two-part event. An advisor-based workshop/discussion about the impact of the research within advising practice will directly follow the Student Success Research Lecture, which are always informative and though provoking!
Please begin thinking about what you would like to propose for a conference proposal or a table discussion! You will see the call for proposals for both out within the next few weeks!
