PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: iAdvise News and Tips – Students can use the “Request Help” in iAdvise to ask for help!

The iAdvise Project Team has news for you:

Reminder - students can request help using the "Request Help" menu that generates "I Need Help" Flags in iAdvise.

iAdvise has an option for students to "Request Help" in iAdvise, which generates flags on their record. There are a range of "I Need Help" Flags:

  1. "I Need Help with a Technical Aspect of iAdvise" which is intended to assist students having a technical issue with iAdvise that they need help with and the iAdvise Project team led by OAD manages, assigns, and resolves these as appropriate;
  2. "I Need Guidance from an Advisor" which is normally sent to an assigned advisor for the student;
  3. "I Need Help in a Course" which is usually sent to an instructor for the student and requires a course to be selected;
  4. "I Need Help Paying for College" which is curated and managed starting with OAD and assigned as appropriate;

There is also a special "I Need Help" Flag for new incoming students called "I'm a New Student and I Need Help..." which gets assigned by OAD as appropriate to the request presented.
