Building Bridges: Honoring our Past, Celebrating the Present, and Preparing for the Future
October 23-26, 2022 | Portland, Oregon | Oregon Convention Center
The conference theme encourages all of us to reflect on where we started and honor those who built the foundation for our academic advising careers in higher education. Furthermore, it gives us the opportunity to recognize the perseverance and dedication that advisors have given to this profession while also looking ahead to where our paths lead in furthering academic excellence.
Call for Proposals
Open December 13, 2021 through February 21, 2022.
Why should you submit a proposal?

-Further the body of knowledge in your area of interest and shape the future of our profession.
-Contribute to a diverse community of learning and engagement in the field of academic advising.
Important Dates to Remember
December 13th - Beginning December 13, 2021: Proposals may be submitted online.
February 21st - Proposal Submission Deadline February 21, 2022. To be eligible for consideration, proposals must be submitted by this date. Early submissions are appreciated.
April 2022 - All persons listed as presenters will be notified with the results of the proposal review process.
Evaluation Criteria
Presentation titles should be clear, direct and descriptive of the content of the session. Titles need not reflect the theme of the conference. Proposals and abstracts will be peer reviewed by fellow NACADA members and by members of the 2022 conference committee, using these criteria:
• Clearly stated purpose and objectives
• Reflective of good writing practices
• Timeliness of the subject matter
• Topic’s contribution to the advising field
• Creativity in an approach to a situation or in ways to manage it
• Adaptability of ideas to a variety of institutional settings
• When applicable: Presentation grounded in research
• When applicable: Presentation includes issues of equity, inclusion, and/or diversity
