PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: iAdvise Tip of the Week – Students can ask for help in iAdvise!
The iAdvise Project Team is pleased to provide this week's tip:
Students can use the "Request Help" function - don't forget to check your Tracking menu!
- We know that it's finals week and students may be needing help both with challenges they're experiencing but also need help because they're thinking about next semester. They can use the "Request Help" function in their Hamburger menu in iAdvise.
- The "I Need Help" Flags - Students using iAdvise can identify themselves as needing help with a range of areas and they show in your Tracking area as FLAGS - from help with academic planning, to getting help in a course from an instructor or TA, to help related to financial issues. You can make sure you're up-to-date on tracking items by sorting your items with the most recent on the top.
- Managing the "I Need Help" Flags - If your student has requested help through the "I Need Help" flags, you can comment or clear it depending on the appropriate circumstances and when doing so send a copy to the student of your response. If commenting, be sure to select "Send a copy to the student" not "Send a copy to the flag raiser."
