PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: iAdvise News and Tips – Filter for students who have NOT scheduled appointments!
The iAdvise Project Team has a tip for you:
It's that time of year where we are getting closer and closer to students registering and if you're trying to see who of your first-year students have not had or scheduled a meeting, you can do that by using the "Meetings" filter in iAdvise. Here's some tips depending upon your role in iAdvise:
- Ensure you've picked the appropriate "Connection" for students assigned to you or within your unit;
- Click "Filter";
- Once the Filtering Dialog Box opens, go the Attributes Menu and select "Banner Cohort";
- Select Specific Value and enter "220238FR*";
- Then select Registration Holds;
- Select Specific Value and enter "*Advising*" to get students with active advising holds.
- Go to Meetings and select Students "Who have NOT had/scheduled meetings"
- Go down and select the appropriate Advising Meeting you're looking for (hint: if you click the name of the meeting ALL of the reasons are able to be filtered for in your filter since students often pick reasons that are not mandatory advising).
- Select the dates you are looking to know about - keeping in mind the dates when you started doing advising for Spring 2024 prep and through the future dates for which you have availability will give you the biggest range.
- Don't hesitate to come to iAdvise Open Hours for help with different versions of filters and to get your questions answered given your specific iAdvise role.
