PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Academic Professional Advisory Committee (APAC) Influencer Meeting 12/6
Please see the message from one of our APAC committees:
Dear Members of the Advising Community categorized as Academic Professionals (APs):
We need your help!
The UIC Academic Professional Advisory Committee (APAC) is looking for input from Academic Professionals regarding issues we are facing as we transition back to campus, continue to move through the pandemic, and create a “new normal.”
If you are interested in becoming an APAC Influencer please follow this link: https://apac.uic.edu/about/join-us/ap-influencer-survey/
What will an APAC Influencer do? APAC Influencers will provide APAC input from AP’s in your College, Unit or Department that we can coordinate and communicate to the Chancellor.
Our AY20-21 AP Influencer committee was able to:
• develop a framework for an AP mentorship program
• host guest speakers from the UIC community to educate APs on the CAPE Award, UIC Senate, and professional development
• contribute feedback on university policies and procedures
You will work directly with the APAC Recruitment and Retention Committee and learn more about serving on APAC through your volunteer experience. The estimated time commitment is one to two hours per month. This is a great way to get involved with APAC without a huge time commitment, and a nice stepping stone if you are interested in joining APAC!
Please answer yes today! We look forward to working with you. Our first meeting will be held at noon on zoom, December 6, 2021. Please email us with any questions.
Sincerely,
Anne Burkhart, Ted Ebersold, Phillip Beverly, and Jo Wagner
