PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: 9th Annual Advisor Week – Wednesday’s Events and don’t forget to RSVP!

Advisor Week continues tomorrow, Wednesday, and we're looking forward to a free morning for unit-based or individual advisor activities, NASP's comedy event, and our Featured Topic Event with the Office of External Fellowships, which will include student voices!

After a free morning for unit-based activities, we want to highlight that our partners at NASP will be hosting a performance at 12:00 p.m. "Casey Brown Chicago's Best (Only) American Indian Comedian” will speak to the trials of being in the minority of racial minorities in his people’s own country and how that effects life as a writer, director, producer and performer in the urban setting of Chicago - we've included the registration link for that event below.

We will feature an event in the afternoon with Dr. Kimberly Germain from the Office of External Fellowships, and we're excited to be talking in this session about the pivotal role that advisors play with students in their journeys at all stages of their UIC careers from providing information to supporting long-term preparation to being able to learn about their journey through application. We're really looking forward to it!

Also, for folks who are joining us for Thursday morning's Common Reading, we've included information below for you to access the article!

You can review the rest of the events of the week at our Advisor Week Schedule and please RSVP at https://go.uic.edu/advisorweekrsvp
