10th Annual Advisor Week Schedule - Monday March 21st Events:
MONDAY, MARCH 21st - Student Success Lecture Series Session

The lecture kicks off this year’s Advisor Week! Presenters from the Office for Research on Student Success and the Office of Institutional Research will share results from several years of the Pre-Matriculation Inventory data as well as from the recent COVID-19 survey to understand the impact of the pandemic on our students, with a focus on underrepresented groups. In collaboration with the Office for Advising Development, a discussion will follow the presentation to explore how these results can inform advisors’ and coaches’ work on campus.
Presenters: Darima Butitova, PhD, Undergraduate Affairs Data Analyst, Office for Research on Student Success; Ray Fuller, Undergraduate Affairs Data Analyst, Office for Research on Student Success; Danny Lambouths III, Research Analyst, Office of Institutional Research.
The Student Success Lecture Series presents research and initiatives being undertaken by the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs and Academic Programs and across campus to better understand and improve the success of UIC students. The series also offers opportunities for dialogue among faculty, staff, and administrators who are designing and studying various dimensions of student success at UIC, which could lead to recommendations for practice that will benefit our students.

Have you been creative with us before? We're able to bring back pottery painting on site again this year! If you made something last year, you can make a matching item this year! Or if you're new to this, you'll see how much fun we'll have!
Are you looking for a new mug for your desk? Do you want to have some fun painting pottery with none of the hassle of heading off campus to do it...and you'll get it delivered back to campus. No muss, no fuss...other than the enjoyment of painting pottery for you to keep to kick off our social events for Advisor Week.
We will have Creativita from Forest Park join us with pottery pieces for you to choose from and get your artist groove on. Then once you're done, we'll make sure we know it's yours...they will take and fire them in the kiln and we will get them back to you on campus.
***Since we know that our advising community members may be on campus on varying days, this event will repeat again on Thursday afternoon/evening for those not available on Monday.***
