Registration is now open for the

IDPH 2022 Minority Health Conference: Public Health & Social Justice - Pathways to Minority Health Equity.

The conference will be held virtually on November 15-16, 2022.

This Conference is designed to improve knowledge of health disparities and social justice issues, build competencies among healthcare professionals, and develop collaboration with other service providers, and community partners who serve minorities and other disadvantaged communities. By the conclusion of this conference, participants should be able to:

Identify the barriers and/or challenges faced by healthcare agencies seeking to serve minority and underserved populations.

Discuss methods and strategies for awareness, prevention, and treatment of diseases within minority populations.

Review research data and statistics on the current status of racial and ethnic health disparities and recommendations for solutions.

Engage in opportunities for skill-building, information-sharing, and networking among conference attendees and community health organizations/institutions throughout the state of Illinois
