FOR ADVISORS’ INFORMATION: New Open Seats Notification Tool now available!
A new registration feature has been added called Open Seats Notification System. Students can add a Course Reference Number for a term and be notified when a seat or waitlist space (if waitlisted) becomes available. The student can only add the CRN when the section is closed.
The portlet for accessing the system is on the Welcome Page on my.uic.edu. Please remind students that they should use the system appropriately and be judicious when submitting requests. We have 11% of students that have submitted 10 or more sections, and one student has made 34 requests.
To date there have been 2,588 requests and 16,253 notifications have been sent.
