SHARE WITH STUDENTS: OUR – two opportunities for undergraduates!

The Office for Undergraduate Research would like you to know about two different opportunities for students.

CURA Application is now open for Spring 2017!

The Office of Undergraduate Research in the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs has spring semester funding in the CURA program for students who have already accepted Federal Work Study as part of their AY 2016-2017 financial aid packages. If faculty you work with mention promising students they would like to invite to work with them as research assistants, please let the faculty member know that students can inquire about whether they qualify. If students qualify, professors can hire them as work study students and the CURA award would reimburse the department for the portion of their hourly salary not covered by the federal funding. CURA awards can be granted through the third week of the spring semester (the review process goes much more quickly in spring than fall due to lower demand).

You can download the CURA Opportunities PDF for more information.

The link to apply (and answers to some questions) can be found on this page: https://ure.uic.edu/facfws.php.
