Here is a snapshot of events we will be hosting for Transfer Students this Spring:
Registration Refresher: Will provide information about registration, degree progress, and policies including time-tickets, late drops, GPA recalculations, credit/no credit options, accessing and understanding your Degree Audit Report (DARS), and how to schedule an advising appointment with your advisor.
What’s Next?! LAS Internships: Gives you an amazing opportunity to meet with the LAS Internship Coordinator, Gina Selmo, and learn how to not only begin your internship search, but how to earn credit for your intended internship. Employers recommend at least 2 internships before graduation, so don’t miss out on how to get started!
Work Values: Why consider work values? Values help us understand what is important to us in terms of job satisfaction. They help provide a framework to assess and evaluate options. Within this workshop, we will dive deeper into identify your core work values and how to apply them toward your major and career exploration!
Exploring Educational Goals: Discover how to maximize your educational goal at UIC during this workshop. Topics will include information about the pre-health team, what educational goals are offered, and resources you can utilize during your time in LAS.
