The Summer College Committee wants to remind you about our Summer College Programs as you meet with your new first-year students since we're accepting registrations through the first week.
PROGRAMS
Summer College offers a wide variety of programs, including 14 six week programs and 4 new one day programs. Starting on June 2oth, the programs are tuition free, they are fun, and participating is a positive way that students can get ready for fall!
BENEFITS
In Summer College students will get individualized attention in small classes taught by experienced instructors. They will improve their skills in math, writing, chemistry, critical thinking, computer literacy, science, studying and note-taking, and more.
Students with preparatory placements in Math, Writing, and Chemistry will especially benefit from Summer College, particularly considering their ability to Finish in Four will depend on their enrollment in credit bearing courses.
They will meet other new students, make friends and study partners, connect with faculty and advisors, learn their way around the UIC campus, and discover UIC’s many student resources. Summer College students learn to call the UIC campus home before those first crazy days of fall semester!
TO REGISTER
To register, have your students log into my.uic.edu to register for a program. Once they have logged in, they should select the UIC connect tab; then select Pathway to Enrollment. The Summer College portlet is located on the lower left hand side underneath Orientation.
