UPDATE: Disability Resource Center operating procedures related to Spring Break and COVID-19.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the DRC will be working remotely effective Tuesday, March 17 until Friday, March 27 during the two week spring break. We will resume back in the office on Monday, March 30, 2020 – when classes return back and classes will be online until the end of the semester.

We are working during our regular business hours 8:30am-4:30pm. Please be patient, if you do not reach staff, we are either replying to a message or on the phone with someone.

To schedule an appointment for an informational meeting or intake with a Disability Specialist for an intake or follow-up, please call the DRC main number at (312) 413-2183.

Concerns about facilities accessibility can be reported through our Online Accessibility Reporting Form at https://forms.uofi.uic.edu/sec/7074059; a member of the DRC and/or OAE team will follow up about your report.

Questions or concerns regarding accommodated testing can be fielded by our Testing Coordinators, who can be reached at accesstesting@uic.edu.

Questions or concerns regarding alternative format materials for courses may be fielded by our document conversion team, who can be reached at accesstext@uic.edu.

Questions from students, faculty, and staff regarding referrals, existing Letters of Accommodation, and/or implementation of accommodations, may be directed to our Disability Specialists. Please contact the Specialist listed at the top of the student’s LOA, or contact our front desk at (312) 413-2183 or our general email address, drc@uic.edu to be directed to the appropriate Specialist.
