L@S GANAS now recruiting students:
- Peer Mentors: We are looking for current students to mentor incoming students for the Spring 2017 and Fall 2017 semesters. This is part of our yield strategy, thus mentoring will begin this semester. Please ask student leaders you know to apply at http://bit.ly/mentoringconganas
- Research Experience: This experience introduces students to research culture through a one semester seminar and then placing them in a research laboratory experience. Students may qualify for up to a $5,000 a year stipend. In addition we have travel funds for presenting at a professional conference or meeting. L@s GANAS is UIC's Latin@s in STEM office funded through a Hispanic Serving Institution STEM grant. Our mission is to primarily serve STEM students who identify as Latinx, Latin@, Hispanic, and Chicana/o, as well as low-income students. Learn more about our program at HSI.uic.edu.
