PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Please welcome Nick Ardinger as OAD Associate Director!
Please join me in welcoming Nick Ardinger who has joined us as the Associate Director of the Office for Advising Development.
We are very excited to bring Nick to the Office for Advising Development. Many of you may know Nick as a valued member of the UIC community due to his excellent work as the Assistant Director for Residential Education for Campus Housing. Nick came to UIC in 2,001, and we are so pleased that he has joined OAD after almost 18 years of service in Housing. Nick earned his Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies in 2012. He served on the original taskforces for the Student Success Initiative and has worked on student success in a range of ways from Campus Housing Living Learning Communities to Summer College.
Nick is a well-known member of our community, having served as a longstanding member of the OAD Steering Committee. In fact, Nick was the co-developer of our Annual Advisor Week! He will be working on iAdvise, Early Alerts (iAlert), and OAD's training and professional development activities.
