Working with our students remotely when students are not on campus or when both advisors and students are not on campus means that we may have questions. This page endeavors to assist with both UIC and national resources for working and supporting our student as we work remotely with them in online video appointments, phone appointments, or advise via email.

UIC is continuously developing resources related to COVID-19 and is providing information on using technology. Following are some useful links to technology resources to use while working remotely, updated news on COVID-19, the university’s response to the recommendations from the CDC and Illinois public health officials, and UIC HR policies.

NACADA Resources on Advising in Times of Disruption
The NACADA Advising Communities have worked together to organize a Lunch N’Learn and resources for working remotely with students that discuss considerations made related to advising.
Selected National Higher Education Resources related to COVID-19
There are a range of national higher education organizations who are providing information related to university responses to COVID-19 and continuity of services. The Centers for Disease Control also have interim information to inform higher education institutions.
