SHARE WITH STUDENTS: 2017 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) – for first-years and seniors!

In an effort to increase awareness of the 2017 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) launch, the following email is being sent to UIC advisors to encourage your students who may have received a NSSE survey request.

The University is participating in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). For more information on NSSE please visit www.nsse.indiana.edu. NSSE gathers information from first-year and senior students about their undergraduate experience. The survey measures the extent to which students engage in effective educational practices that research has shown to be linked with student learning and other desired student outcomes. By participating in the survey, the university will not only gain information about our students, but we will also be able to benchmark ourselves against similar institutions.

NSSE administration began on Tuesday, February 7th and will continue until mid-March.  We would greatly appreciate your assistance in reminding students about the survey. To that end, we ask that you encourage first-year and senior students to participate.

If you have any questions about this project at the University of Illinois at Chicago or how we plan to use the results, please contact Bill Hayward at whaywa2@uic.edu.
