With the stress of everyday life and finals on the way, the Counseling Center just wanted to take the time to inform you about the UIC InTouch Crisis Hotline.
Whether it’s regarding anxiety, homework overload, or just personal problems, the Hotline is a free service for anyone that feels like they want to be heard. The Hotline is confidential with the exceptions of immediate harm to yourself/others or neglect/abuse of a child or elderly individual.
This upcoming school year our goal is to reach out to more UIC students. This being said, I would appreciate if you took the time to inform all of your students of this FREE service provided for them. Many professors already incorporate the counseling services in their syllabus, so you are more than welcomed to do so with the Hotline as well. The number for the hotline is 312-996-5535. We are open Sunday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm. Moreover, Friday (April 21, 2016) we are conducting a lock-in, which means we will be open from 6:00 pm-6:00 am.
